🛠️2026–27 Season Update: Ice Installation
The City of Kimberley is replacing the aging refrigeration systems at the Civic Centre and Curling Rink with a single modern system. This investment will help ensure high-quality, reliable ice for our community.
Based on the latest project timeline, the new chiller is expected to be operational by September 2, with ice installation expected to be completed by September 18.
As a result, the Kimberley Skating Club will have a slightly later start to the 2026–27 season. We currently anticipate Senior StarSkate, Junior StarSkate and Rising Stars beginning the week of September 19, with CanSkate beginning October 5th.
We will provide updates as soon as additional information becomes available.
